Stop and Look Inside

What I'm about to tell you is an absolute truth - everything you need is already inside you.  You don't need to have heaps of life experience to be wise, nor do you need to receive love to feel and share it.  The tools that can grant you with the life you've always dreamed of are nestling inside yourself.  You just need to take the time to let them speak to you.

I had never really understood what meditation meant before I took part in Oprah Winfrey's 21 day meditation challenge.  I had heard her mention in several interviews, that she is "1000%" better after she has meditated.  I was instantly curious as we all know that Oprah does not recommend something unless it is genuinely enriching to a life.  After recently completing the challenge I can share with you the logic behind meditation.

Meditation brings you back to the core of yourself - by relaxing your mind, you are giving yourself an opportunity for the true self to shine.  By freeing your mind of all distractions and thoughts you are letting yourself express what is naturally there.  Have you ever been in a fight with a friend? Or have been accused of doing something wrong? Or have had someone make you feel bad? A part of you always knew that you are not a bad person, that your intentions were good and you most likely were doing the best you could in a given situation.  That gut feeling, or voice is your true self.  You are good, you are pure, you are love, you are wise and you are perfect.  We are so disconnected from what is real and what is true that we often get caught up becoming a person that is totally opposite from who we really are.

When we get in touch with our true selves through meditation we radiate truth.  We are able to express ourselves.  We are beacons for love and we are connected in a universal way.  Everything in life becomes clear and the journey towards higher expression, happiness and success becomes an unforced and effortless journey filled with joy.
If I were to tell you all the ways my life has changed for the better in merely a month, it's possible you wouldn't believe it.  Like Oprah, I am 1000% better in every aspect, and I mean every single one.  I have even felt a very strong connection with a higher power of the universe which I have chosen to call God.

The resources for meditation are very easily accessible.  I invite you to please bring the joys of meditation into your life, so we can all stand together as powerful and loving beings as we were meant to be.

Namaste (The divinity in me, bows to the divinity in you)

Kiesza's "Hideaway" Reviewed by Francis Brake

Kiesza's "Hideaway" music video is an immaculate depiction of good, real fun.  There are so many great things about both the song and music video on so many different levels.  Had I heard this song without seeing the video I would be instantly obsessed.  The fact that it's paired with a fresh and bona fide music video is a real delight.

I watch this video and I want to meet this girl.  I see a fun person who
is outrageously sexy in an unforced, poised and yet funky way.  She seems both approachable and relatable.
The fact that this video is one steady camera shot is undoubtedly impressive.  The preparation and organization that takes is laborsome, yet it does not read as rehearsed or robotic.  It is so fresh, original, true, crisp and most importantly - fun.  Each person in this music video looks like they're having the time of their lives and that attitude is contagious.  It depicts an energy that I personally can never get enough of.

Her fashion is so true to the young generation of today and you can tell it totally embodies her.  I feel like she went to her closet and simply
picked out a fun urban street outfit and it totally works.

I love how relatable this music video is.  It has the richness and heart of a yet to be discovered garage band playing for their friends and family, and the professionality of a hollywood music video.

This video will be on replay until I soak up every bit of it's joy.  Kiesza, whom I had never heard of before this song, in this video, is both an inspiration and representation of what I perceive to be happy, youthful, and funky.
